Hi folks.

I'm Jeff Mariotte (although I also write as Jeffrey J. Mariotte). I know some of you from other boards, and some are new names to me.

I'm the author of somewhere around 35 novels, published by Simon & Schuster, Penguin, HarperCollins, Warner, etc. My most recent original novel is the supernatural thriller MISSING WHITE GIRL, published by Penguin/Jove (click the link to go to the MWG website and see more about it). MWG is the first in a loose trilogy of horror/suspense novels set on America's southwestern border. Next up is RIVER RUNS RED, coming in October, then COLD BLACK HEARTS next year (tentatively--it's been bought but I haven't written it yet).

My most recent book of any kind is a TV tie-in, SUPERNATURAL: WITCH'S CANYON, based on the CW TV series. I won both Scribe Awards for original tie-in novels (as opposed to adaptations/novelizations) in that award's inaugural year, 2007.

I also write comic books, including the critically acclaimed, multiple award-nominated Western-horror series DESPERADOES, which True West Magazine declared the "Best Western Comic Book" of 2007.

I'm a co-owner of specialty bookstore Mysterious Galaxy in San Diego, which turns 15 years old in May.

I've just turned in a Spider-Man novel called SPIDER-MAN: REQUIEM, which will be released by Pocket Books later this year, and in it I swiped Shelagh's name for one of my characters, because it's so cool!

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Welcome to the forum. It's great to have a multi-published author on board. I can see your Spider-Man novel becoming a best seller. Can't fail with a cool character named Shelagh! Very Happy

Jeff you seem to be one very busy and successful writer! Welcome to the forum - I'm not as "active" here as most, but I do enjoy sticking my head through the door from time to time to see what's going on. Congratulations on your many successes.
