I walk along my road alone
I pass into the future and leave the past behind
I try to look beyond and see the course ahead
But the shadow of the past lies across my path
And obscures the road ahead
I look beyond tomorrow and see the light ahead
I journey on in earnest and hope I’ll find the way
But the shadow of the past lies across my path
And obscures the road ahead
