I just came accross this network. It's a bit like myspace, where you can promote yourself, books, collect friends, etc...

Well, I've been a member for about a month now. I think I have about 300 friends, and have made a few sales from it.
But the best part about Yuwie is that you can actualy make a little bit of pocket money by doing exactly what you do on Myspace.

Thanks for the info Karina - I signed up and will try it out too. There is a mass of advertising on it - like being on caffeine or something - but I will test the waters and see how effectively I can get the word out!

Well I did sign onto this site but it's not really my thing-like being overstimulated after a caffeine hit. The advertising that you compete with is enormous just to get on it, and then it is like spam city (to me) as people start adding you to their lists kind of willy nilly, because I am someone who wants to screen all those friendship offers. I will keep an eye on it for a week or two but see what happens.

Thanks for the update, Pam. I'm not really into that type of thing, either, so was waiting for some feedback. I don't do chat rooms either, but some folks have good luck with them. I get into enough trouble with my websites!

Well, not just another one. This one pays for posts. Which I think is only fair.

I did some checking around and they DO pay and seem to be on the up and up. Brash and trashy on their ads, but hey, if somebody is going to pay you, can your really object to their money-raising attempts?

Certainly no more obnoxious than myspace, in my book.

I think you have to be online most of the day, gets daily referrals and network a lot to make decent money. But I'm enjoying my time on there, have met some new friends and have new sales.
