Give me the name of the agent and I'll found out as much as I can about her agency.

Now that sounds more like it! Otherwise Jenny may be kicking herself for the rest of her life for the sake of a few manuscripts.

Shelagh,

Mary Seymour, The Seymour Agency, Canton. New York. In addtion to being recognised by the Romance Writers of America she is AAR recognised also.

I'm trying to find a copying service in up state New York who would also be willing to ship the copies to her.

Okay Jenny, I think I've found something useful:

Quote:
Seymour Agency

Does anyone have any information concerning Mary Sue Seymour/The Seymour Agency? I have researched and found a bit of info, but nothing conclusive.

Thanks,
KL

Quote:
Last summer a friend of mine obtained representation from this agency - and spend a LOT of money paying for photocopies and mailings. She never sold her book and I'm not sure if she's still with the agency. I HOPE they have changed this policy as my friend could ill afford all the money she paid.

Thanks Shelagh. I don't think I'll be doing business with her.

On further investigation, its perhaps I good thing that I've decided not to persue this further. Apparently Miss S also represents christian manuscripts and softens the blow of rejection with a quotation from the bible. There's a good chance that the sex scene in the manuscript would cause her to go into shock! Embarassed

You can cry on my shoulder anytime Jenny - although I am far away, I can offer you a doughnut to console yourself with (the great Canadian tranquilizer)...actually a bunch of them so that you can really get into it.

Cheers!

I've been with a geat epublisher for a year now and I highly recomend them. They also do POD books.

Linden Bay Romance. www.lindenbayromance.com

They'll be opening their submissions this summer.

Thanks Sheila. However they are currently closed to submissions at this time, and in all honesty, I would prefer to see my book in print format rather than e-book and POD.

Shelagh,

Lindenbayromance are primarily e-book publishers. If I read their submission page correctly, they only offer publishing your novel in paperback format after you reach a certain number of sales, which makes them a POD publisher.

I'd rather try and get my book into print before exploring options such as this.
