Reminds me of a true story. A Brit rock musician I interviewed had flown directly from London to Seattle...a long time without a smoke. He got off the plane, a limo was waiting to take him to his hotel. He walked into the lobby store and spoke the first line he had addressed to an American: "You got any fags here?"

That came from the First World War, British Soldiers in the trenches
went sent free cigarettes by the government with the words, 'For A Good
Smoke' printed on them. There was a war time song, Dooby Dooby Doo...

Indeed Miss Night Owl (LOL) not sure if it was Churchill or Patton, but
someone said, 'Two great countries separated by a common language!' You
