This is a day early according to the current calendar, or a day late according to recorded history, but Happy Hotdogs and Fireworks Day to U.S.

July 4th. The day celebrates independence from England.

Jim, I guess that means hot dogs and fireworks.
Enjoy the day.

Picnics, parades, games, family and community gatherings, fireworks!! What a glorious day of celebration. Tons of fun and lots of good food. (Where is Pam when you need some one to chat about food?)

We here in the US have so very much to be grateful for, and owe so many for the priveleges we enjoy.

Hey, guys, thanks for the best wishes. We're enjoying having a day with no mail service and an excuse to burn food on the grill in the back yard while neighbors throw throw grenade-sized fireworks up in the air.

We wouldn't have it any other way.

Happy Birthday (good thing I'm in a late time zone--I know some of you will still be up)! Here's a toast to all of my American friends and wishing you all the best for a rousing birthday celebration (there were fireworks going off here about an hour ago, so clealry some local patriots!).
