Google search results for Shelagh!

I checked the stat report for my website this morning and saw that someone had visited the site after searching on Google. The search term was simply "Shelagh" This is the link:

I'm listed seventh on the first page of 866,000 entries!

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see my book listed under "Book Results". Fame at last! lol!

To those of us who use this forum you have always been famous, Shelagh. Others now have an opportunity to appreciate you.


It's nice that visitors come to see you specifically. Most of mine come to see pictures of dead cows, dead German soldiers or certain things best not even thought about.

Everytime I search my name I seem to get every other Billy Young in the world other than me Sad Ah well at least I might become famous as the least known Billy Young hehehe Laughing

Well, I searched Google for "P. Gordon Kennedy" (name in quotes) today, but it only gave me 38 actual results. A while ago, I tried the same search in Yahoo and it gave me over 500 results, but many of them had nothing to do with me. A search for "P. Gordon Kennedy" author in yahoo yielded 158 actual results today, although some are redundant. A yahoo search for my book title, "Of Orbs and Lords" yielded 113 actual results, though again some are redundant. In google, a search for "Of Orbs and Lords" yielded 36 actual results. For some reason, I'm easier to find on Yahoo than Google. I don't know why that is, but that's the way it is.

Jim Woods has to be the most common author or pen name in the universe. If I call it up I have to wade through seven pages before the real Jim Woods comes up. There's a baseball writer, an architechural writer and a woodworking writer who get all the space. Not to mention corporate execs and others in differing public light. I get passed over by Tiger Woods--many books by and about him--and then there's James Woods, the actor. My book titles come up easily enough for folk who know them but anyone seeking me by name will give up the search early.

Shelagh, I just did a Google search on "Granny Boo" just for kicks
since it is only a fledgling mss that hasn't left my nest. Guess what?
The very top listing on the page was from HERE! It was where I posted
the opening chapter of the back story under 'First Chapters'. Next
listing was from my Keechie website where I only mentioned her name (as
Keechie's grandmother).

Those bots are working!

My site keeps jumping around Google ... it's been #1 on the first page and it's been last on page 4, which is where it is today.

But the nice thing is I am listed further up on other sites.

It is pretty consistently #1 on page 1 on Yahoo search.

If you google my series name (Dreamer's Forest) it comes up #1 on page 1.

I share the name JoElle Martin with a Merrimack College athlete and a photographer.

It's funny but if you go to Amazon and do a search on my name ... my first two titles come up ... and a I LOVE JoElle Martin sweatshirt!!!
