| | Today I completed the first draft of the final chapter of my second novel. As over half the book is already in final draft I'm feeling quite content with myself. On Wednesday I begin the revisions. |

| Great news. Are you going to submit this one to an agent when it's ready or will you self publish again? _________________ Jenny Writing as Victoria Howard

| | I had planned to self publish it again Jenny, but I'm of the mind I may just do the round of publishers again! |

| Good for you, George!
Feels great, eh?
I'm at about 78 K on the novel in progress...so, about another 10K to go to the final chapter. Do you feel a bit sad? I always do when I write "THE END".
Now you have to start on another... _________________ Southern fiction with a madhatter twist... www.rhettdevane.com |

| | Thanks and, no, I'm not sad. Can't wait to get this one out of the way so I can start on something else. It'll be the late summer I expect before I'm done with the revision work. |

| I'm about 100 pages into my second StormChilde book, 130 pages into a novel about a fading country music superstar called Neon Rainbow, 80 or so pages into my latest work, which is a supernatural/action/epic called Tears Of God, and looks to be some three or four books by the time it's finished, and I have just completed the next two stories in the Redneck Riviera series. I have a story in the new WOW anthology, and one in the upcoming Amazon Shorts Authors anthology. I'm also working on trying to write a real detective story, one that has no fantasy or supernatural elements, and I have about 40 pages of that finished.
I always have eight to ten short stories in the works, and I just write on the one that catches my attention first.
And I'm polishing up the screenplay for the first Harpe book, which is nearing completion.
Of course, it helps that I am retired, I spend much of my time at home with nothing to do except write, and almost every day I get a new idea or inspiration. I have a folder of story ideas that I draw from, but the folder seems to grow more than the finished products do.
If I could spend less time on message boards and more on pages, maybe I could get a bit more done. I write every day, and try to write at least five pages on my current novel. So far, it's been working very well, and at that rate I should complete at least two of them this year.
Cheers. |

| Way to go George - that's really inspiring! I keep putting off my novel working on this other stuff that pays more regularly, although I have to say I am glad my parents are around. Today I interviewed my mum on a bunch of details for the new project and so I am itching to get at it. Isn't this just too much fun than you can stand at times? Isn't Shelagh the swashbuckling, gun toting heroine in this one, or am I confused? Again... Hey Don, as long as you can use the message boards and stuff just as a "break" or a bit of a stretch, then you'll be fine. You'll set the bar writing to a year - good for you! _________________ Pam Robertson http://andthebandplayedonmylawn.blogspot.com |

| That's some workload you've got there Don Er, I'm not sure what genre of book you'd like to star in Shelagh? |

| Let me see. Romance? Nah, too soppy. Thriller? You'd kill me off. Erotica? Sci-fi? You'd make me into an alien. Fantasy? Close. I could be wonder woman -- but then I wonder what you might come up with to tie me in knots. Oh, I know Horror! See, by a process of elimination my dear Maciver, we have sleuthed out the answer. _________________ Shelagh Watkins http://shelaghwatkins.co.uk/ |

| Wonder Woman was my superhero icon growing up...you may not be that far off with the Wonder Woman thing Shelagh; I read somewhere that she has done voice over work for a couple of video games. I fear that if George writes you into a horror novel you'll end up in demise at the bottom of a pit somewhere with a bunch of slime or ooze and zombies or something. Course that could be fun, you know. Shelagh of the Crypt. _________________ Pam Robertson http://andthebandplayedonmylawn.blogspot.com |

| My next book (after this novel) is going to be a non fiction book. So you can relax Shelagh! |
